Here at Billing Chiropractic, we practice a full spine approach and look at the body as a whole. We focus on the function of your central nervous system, which can be effected by subluxations or nerve interference. There are three primary branches of the Central nervous System (CNS). The sensory nervous system, motor nervous system and the autonomic nervous system. Our office utilizes certified technology with a computerized, non-invasive, painless test that measures heat and muscle tension originating from the spine. It is completely safe for everyone, including new-borns. These scans allow us to accurately detect dysfunction in your nervous system, which compromise your family's health. If we can detect the dysfunction, we can correct it.
Part of our initial exam utilize computer technologies that objectively measure the two more important branches of the central nervous system, the autonomic and motor nervous systems. The autonomic system controls your organs, glands and blood vessels- all functions you don’t have to think about, such as breathing. The autonomic system also controls your immune system and your ability to deal with stress.
We measure your autonomic function through our PulsewaveProfiler/HRV, or heart rate variability and InsightNeuro thermal scanner.
The motor branch of the CNS, which consists of the motor nerves and your muscles that control your body's movement. We can measure your motor nervous system function by using the Insight surface EMG, which measures muscle tone. The tighter your muscles, the higher the EMG reading will be.
We use these scans to help us see exactly how your body's Nervous System is functioning. The body is a very complex being and we feel that it is important to use objective tools. The insight scanning technology enables us to not solely rely on how a patient feels, but gives us an objective tool to measure stress, tension or abnormal function before symptoms are present. Though how a patient feels is important to us, the sensory system only makes up 8-10% of the entire Central Nervous System.
